This weekend, I went to the Island of Lewis & Harris.

I went with a fellow art student and we both stayed with her friend, a lovely person who greeted us with bowls of soup and freshly baked vegan banana bread muffins (oh my, they were amazing). The next morning we went to a sandy beach, where I got to make a small stone formation for the
Victoria & Albert World Beach Project.
The weather has been in a constant roller-coaster: snow arrives, suddenly, in large, tumbling flakes...and exits stage left in a mess of gray puddles and slightly warmer weather. Thankfully, this weekend was on the "warm" side, with a high of over 40ºF. Take out your sunglasses, people! But seriously... it was good not to have to wear gloves constantly.
And this is the little formation that I ended up with. I made three, but this circle turned out to be my favorite.
